Welcome to La maison de l'Améthyste !
Enter the world of geology with a museum about the Amethyst of
Auvergne and enjoy accessible activities with family !
Come live an enriching and educational experience in a magnificent
setting !
From april 6th to october 30th of 2026:
From monday to friday, closed during weekends
From 9 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 6 pm.

Be guided into the path of a geologist, discover rocks and minerals and admire a fabulous amethyst vein !
- Bring your hiking boots, water bottle and a small bag for your finds
Prospect your amethyst
(Notice: the tour will be in french, explanations can be given in english)
Choose and polish your gemstone
- booking required
- 11€ adult / 9€ child
From a rough gemstone, to a polished jewel and take it home !
For 2€ more, wear the stone as a pendent !
(Specify at reception if you want the pendent option)
Help sheets for polishing stones will be available in english.

Come and create your own jewelry (bracelet, necklace, or earrings) using mineral beads.
This activity is suitable for girls, boys, and all ages (from 5 years old).
